Hey everyone
I have already been blessed with one great star wars game this year (the old republic) and now only 4 months into the year another star wars game is on the way. Kinect Star Wars is out April 3rd, and I am thinking about picking it up seeing as its the only kinect game so far that actually makes me want to use my £130 peripheral that has been sitting idly since christmas. Previews so far haven't been great, and this is even after the delay from last year. Nonetheless it is still a star wars games that features lightsaber fights, pod racing and... Dancing. I am not too bothered about the last option but the other 2 appeal to me very much.
As some of you may know I have been playing star wars the old republic on pc recently, now that game does a good job of telling a story, and it makes you feel like a Jedi, but I believe kinect should technically have the power (or the force maybe?) to increase that "jedi feeling" ten fold, as it offers way more interaction by waving your arms and kicking your feet as opposed to say pressing keybindings or clicking your mouse. I personally am looking forward to the lightsaber battles and pod racing the most, there are other modes such as rancor rampage and a dancing minigame but these don't really appeal to me that much.
Anyway, my point is I am glad kinect now has a game that isn't sport or fitness related and is set in one of my favourite fictional universes. If I do pick Kinect star wars up I will be sure to make a blog post with my impressions.
